由于俄罗斯占领军造成的破坏，乌克兰的切尔诺贝利核电站与电网的连接被断开，引发了人们对冷却乏核燃料造成放射性污染的担忧。

乌克兰国营核能发电公司 Energoatom 周三表示，750 kV 切尔诺贝利-基辅高压线目前“由于占领者的破坏”而被断开。切尔诺贝利核电站和禁区内的所有核设施均停电。

监管机构解释说，该设施储存了大约 20,000 个乏燃料组件，需要持续冷却。没有电力冷却泵不工作，蓄水池中的温度会升高，促使放射性物质释放到环境中。

乌克兰外交部长德米特罗·库勒巴周三在推特上说：“为切尔诺贝利核电站及其被俄罗斯军队占领的所有核设施供电的唯一电网遭到破坏。” “CNPP失去了所有电力供应。我呼吁国际社会紧急要求俄罗斯停火，让维修单位恢复供电。”
