Touting his work to cut drug prices, the commander-in-chief asked anyone if they’d met a middle man before joking that Hunter Biden worked as one — a nod to The Post’s reporting this week on the son’s foreign business dealings.
“I’ll bet you Hunter is a middle man. He’s like a vacuum cleaner,” Trump told the crowd, accusing the oft-troubled son of following around his ex-vice president father Joe Biden on overseas trips to hoover up piles of cash.
“Hunter made no money until his father became vice president and now he’s like a vacuum cleaner,” Trump continued, referring to a tranche of Hunter Biden’s emails published by The Post on Wednesday and Thursday which indicated he leveraged his father’s influence to score lucrative deals overseas.
“His father goes to Germany — Hunter’s right there. ‘Hey give me a couple of million.’ Not a couple of million, a hell of a lot more than a couple of million. It’s a shame. I’ll tell you what, it’s an organized crime family, as far as I’m concerned,” Trump continued.
On Friday afternoon, Trump smiled approvingly as a rally crowd in Ocala, Fla., chanted, “Lock him up!”
The same chant was reprised Friday night, at Trump’s rally in Macon, Ga.
“The Biden family is a criminal enterprise — Frankly it makes crooked Hillary Clinton look like an amateur,” Trump told the Georgia crowd to cheers.
“He goes to China,” Trump said of Joe Biden. “The kid follows him. Unfortunately, he left his laptop behind,” Trump told the crowd
The Post has been running excerpts from Hunter’s laptop, including emails to his father. The owner of a Delaware repair shop has said the Macbook Pro laptop was dropped off there in April 2019 but never retrieved.
In December 2013, Hunter Biden flew aboard Air Force Two with his then-veep father on an official visit to Beijing where Joe Biden reportedly met with Hunter’s Chinese partners.
Ten days later, the troubled son’s firm inked a deal with a state-backed bank to create a $1 billion investment firm.
Another smoking-gun email published Wednesday by The Post indicated Hunter Biden introduced his then-veep dad to a Ukrainian gas executive who was under investigation before Joe Biden pressured Ukrainian officials into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company.
The commander-in-chief also railed against Twitter’s unprecedented censorship of the articles, telling the crowd in Fort Myers that he believed both “big tech” and the media were protecting Biden’s presidential campaign by restricting access to the reporting on Twitter and Facebook and for refusing to investigate the claims.
Trump said he was particularly unhappy with ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos who didn’t ask Biden a single question about the explosive charges during his solo town hall in Pennsylvania on Thursday night.
“It was like softballs. This is the hottest subject there is. They didn’t ask him one question about corruption in the family. They didn’t ask him one question about how big tech is protecting him,” the president said in Tampa.
He also railed against Twitter restricting the accounts of the New York Post and his White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany for sharing the reporting.
“They took down her Twitter site because she had the audacity to put up an article written in the New York Post which is one of the biggest newspaper in the country,” he said.
“I think it’s the oldest newspaper in the country, but they put up an article, and they took down her site. Can you believe what’s going on in this country? And they talk about freedom of the press?” he continued.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitted it was “unacceptable” that the company blocked users from sharing the exposé about Hunter Biden’s emails without providing a clear message as to why it was taking the unprecedented action.
Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans on Thursday said they will hold a hearing Tuesday to compel Dorsey to testify about the troubling censorship.
